Energy contracts

By entering your energy contract, Currentt can provide insight into your energy costs and actively use your energy tariffs in the control of the system.


๐Ÿ“‹ Managing contractsโ€‹

The energy contracts page shows an overview of your current contracts. Each contract shows the supplier, duration, and the type of electricity and gas tariffs.

Use the ยทยทยท menu on a contract to edit or delete it.

Click Open tariffs to view and manage the tariffs for a contract.

Adding a contractโ€‹

Click โž• Add energy contract to enter a new contract. Fill in the general details:

  • Supplier: Type and select the name of your energy supplier.
  • Start date: The start date of the contract.
  • Duration: The duration of the contract.

Then select the energy supplies included in the contract:

  • Electricity and/or Gas:
    • Fixed tariff: Your tariff is fixed for the duration of the contract.
    • Variable tariffs: Your tariff can change during the contract. Add your first tariff in the next step and make sure to add new tariffs whenever they change.
    • Dynamic tariffs: Your tariff changes based on the energy market. Dynamic tariffs are collected automatically (per quarter-hour or hour for electricity; per day for gas).

Click Add contract to save the contract and proceed to the tariffs.


โšก Managing tariffsโ€‹

After adding a contract you are taken to the tariffs page. At the top you see the contract details: the linked meter, the supplies, and the duration.

Tariffs are displayed on a timeline. The active tariff is marked in green; expired tariffs are marked in red.

Use the ยทยทยท menu on a tariff to edit or delete it.

Adding a tariffโ€‹

Click โž• Add electricity tariff or โž• Add gas tariff to add a tariff.

  • Start date: Enter the start date of the tariff.
  • Tariffs: Enter your tariffs depending on your contract type. Make sure to include VAT and energy tax.

Click Add tariff to save the tariff.

With a dynamic contract, energy market prices are collected and used automatically. For electricity these are prices per quarter-hour or hour; for gas these are daily prices.
