Grid task

A grid task executes an action when the production status of the electricity grid changes.

📋 Overview

With a grid task an action is triggered based on the production status of the grid: overproduction (supply greater than demand) or underproduction (demand greater than supply). You set which status triggers the task and define what action is performed.

🎛️ Possibilities

Type

You set what type of task you are adding. In this case Grid.

Condition

You set at which production status of the grid the task is triggered:

  • Grid condition: Choose the production status that triggers the task:
    • Underproduction: The task is triggered when demand is greater than supply.
    • Overproduction: The task is triggered when supply is greater than demand.

Action

You choose an actuator or automation on which the task performs an action. The available actions depend on the actuators and automations available in the installation.

Tariff switcher:

  • Tariff: Set the tariff to Low/Off-peak or High/Peak.

Switches:

  • State: Select the desired state. Depending on the type of switch, different states are possible, e.g. Off, On, Normal, High, Max.
  • Keep in this state for a minimum duration: Enable this to keep the device in the selected state for at least a set duration. Other tasks cannot change the state during this lock period. Set the Minimum duration (in minutes).

Power curtailment:

  • State: Select the desired state for power curtailment (Off, On).
  • Power: When enabled, set the desired power using the slider (0–100%).

Charge/discharge control:

  • State: Select the desired state for the battery (Off, Discharge, Charge).
  • Power: When discharging or charging, set the desired power using the slider (depending on the battery capacity).

Automations:

  • State: Select whether the automation becomes Active or Paused.
