Power task

A power task executes an action when the measured power of a meter meets a configured condition.

📋 Overview

With a power task an action is triggered based on the live measured power of a selected meter. You define the source, comparator, and threshold value, and configure what action is performed when the condition is met.

🎛️ Possibilities

Type

You set what type of task you are adding. In this case Power.

Condition

You set at what measured power the task is triggered:

  • Source: Select the meter whose power is monitored. Meters are grouped by type:
    • Energy suppliers: Grid connection points (PAP/SAP) or meters that act as such.
    • Consumers/generators: Meters that measure both consumption and generation.
    • Consumers: Meters that measure consumption only.
    • Generators: Meters that measure generation only.
  • Phases (multi-phase meters only): Select which phases (L1, L2, L3) are included in the measurement.
  • Operation (consumers/generators only): Choose whether consumption or generation is measured:
    • For grid connection points: Importing or Exporting.
    • For batteries: Charging or Discharging.
    • For other meters: Consuming or Generating.
  • Power: Set the threshold value (in watts). The task is triggered when the measured power meets the chosen comparator: less than (<), less than or equals (<=), equals (=), not equals (!=), greater than or equals (>=), or greater than (>).

Action

You choose an actuator or automation on which the task performs an action. The available actions depend on the actuators and automations available in the installation.

Tariff switcher:

  • Tariff: Set the tariff to Low/Off-peak or High/Peak.

Switches:

  • State: Select the desired state. Depending on the type of switch, different states are possible, e.g. Off, On, Normal, High, Max.
  • Keep in this state for a minimum duration: Enable this to keep the device in the selected state for at least a set duration. Other tasks cannot change the state during this lock period. Set the Minimum duration (in minutes).

Power curtailment:

  • State: Select the desired state for power curtailment (Off, On).
  • Power: When enabled, set the desired power using the slider (0–100%).

Charge/discharge control:

  • State: Select the desired state for the battery (Off, Discharge, Charge).
  • Power: When discharging or charging, set the desired power using the slider (depending on the battery capacity).

Automations:

  • State: Select whether the automation becomes Active or Paused.

📝 Managing tasks

Adding a power task

  1. Go to Tasks within your installation.
  2. Click + Add to add a new task.
  3. Select Power as the type and click Next.
  4. Select the source, configure phases and operation if applicable, and set the comparator and threshold value. Click Next.
  5. Select the desired actuator or automation.
  6. Configure the desired action based on the selected actuator or automation.
  7. Click + Create to save the task.

Editing a task

Select the relevant task and click Edit. Adjust the desired settings. Click Save to save your changes.
