SAJ HS3 via Modbus TCP

This guide describes step by step how to connect a SAJ HS3 battery system to the Currentt Navigator via Modbus TCP over the local network (Ethernet).

🧰 Requirements

  • Currentt Navigator (connected to the local network)
  • Ethernet cable (RJ45, CAT5/Cat6)

1️⃣ Step 1: Connect Ethernet cable

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable (RJ45) to the Ethernet port on the HS3
  2. Connect the other end to your network switch or router
  3. The HS3 automatically obtains an IP address via DHCP

2️⃣ Step 2: Check network settings

Check the network settings via the LCD display on the HS3 or via the eSolar app.

  1. Navigate on the display to System Settings > Network Settings
  2. Check the following settings:

  1. Note the IP address assigned to the HS3

3️⃣ Step 3: Configuration in the Currentt Navigator

After connecting the HS3 to the network, the system must be added in the Currentt Navigator.

  1. Click the settings icon (top right of the screen)
  2. Choose Setup Wizard
  3. Follow the on-screen steps

Manual configuration

  1. Click the settings icon (top right of the screen)
  2. Go to Components
  3. Click the + button in the Batteries section
  4. Select SAJ
  5. Enter the connection details:
