Easee EV charger
Easee is a range of smart EV chargers. The EV charger is connected to the Currentt Navigator via the Easee cloud.
Support for Easee is currently in beta. If anything does not work as expected, please contact customer support.
⚙️ How it works
Easee chargers have no local interface. The Currentt Navigator therefore communicates with the EV charger via the Easee cloud. In the Navigator you sign in with the same Easee account you use to sign in to the Easee app.
Via the cloud, the Navigator reads the charging data (such as charging power and charging status) and sets the maximum charging current of the EV charger. This way the charging current is continuously matched to the available capacity of the grid connection and to the current yield of the solar panels.
Unlike Modbus chargers, all communication goes over the internet. Both the EV charger and the Currentt Navigator must therefore be online at all times. If the internet connection drops, the Navigator cannot read or control the EV charger.
✅ Compatible models
| Model | Type |
|---|---|
| Easee Home | Socket |
| Easee Charge | Socket |
| Easee Core | Socket |
| Easee Up | Socket |
| Easee Lite | Socket |
The integration works at account level. Every Easee charger visible in your Easee account can be connected to the Currentt Navigator.
🧰 Requirements
- Currentt Navigator with an internet connection
- Easee EV charger that is installed and commissioned
- Internet connection on the EV charger (WiFi or mobile network)
- An Easee account (the same account as in the Easee app)
- The serial number of the EV charger (only needed when the account has multiple chargers)
🪛 Installation instructions
Step 1: Check that the EV charger is online
The EV charger must be connected to the Easee cloud.
- Open the Easee app on your phone
- Sign in with your Easee account
- Check that the EV charger is shown as online
If the EV charger is offline, first check the charger's internet connection. As long as the charger has no connection to the Easee cloud, the Currentt Navigator cannot reach it.
Step 2: Note the serial number
You need the serial number when multiple EV chargers are linked to your Easee account.
- Read the serial number from the sticker on the EV charger, for example
ECFFAJL4 - You can also find the serial number in the Easee app under the charger's details
Does your Easee account have only one EV charger? Then you can leave the serial number empty. The Currentt Navigator will detect the charger automatically.
Step 3: Disable smart charging
- Open the Easee app
- Disable Easee's own charging schedules and smart charging
If Easee's charging schedules or smart charging remain active, the EV charger and the Currentt Navigator will work against each other.
Step 4: Configuration in the Currentt Navigator
After checking the EV charger, it must be added in the Currentt Navigator.
Via the installation wizard (recommended)
- Click the settings icon (top right of the screen)
- Choose Installation wizard
- Follow the steps on the screen
Manual configuration
- Click the settings icon (top right of the screen)
- Go to Components
- Click the + button in the EV chargers section
- Select Easee
- Under Communication, enter the connection details:
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Easee account | The phone number or e-mail address of your Easee account, for example +31600000000 |
| Password | The password of your Easee account |
| Charger serial | The serial number printed on the EV charger, for example ECFFAJL4. Leave empty to detect the charger automatically when your account has a single charger |
- Click Save
If you change the password of your Easee account, the connection is lost. Update the password in the Currentt Navigator afterwards as well.
