SolaX inverter
The SolaX inverter is connected to the Currentt Navigator to read production data and control the system. The supported models are grid-tied (string) inverters without a battery.
⚙️ How it works
The Currentt Navigator communicates with the SolaX inverter via Modbus. The Navigator reads production data, power values and status information, and can control the power output of the inverter.
This can be done in two ways: via a wired RS-485 connection on the COM port of the inverter (Modbus RTU), or via the local network using a Pocket dongle (Modbus TCP).
The supported SolaX models (X1-MINI, X1-BOOST, X1-SMART and X3-MIC) are grid-tied inverters without a battery connection. No battery data is read as a result.
🔌 Connection options
Connect the inverter to the Currentt Navigator using one of the methods below.
Option 1: Modbus RTU (RS-485)
A wired connection via an RS-485 cable between the COM port of the inverter and the RS-485 Modbus connection on the Currentt Navigator. This is a direct physical connection and does not require network infrastructure.

Option 2: Modbus TCP (local network)
A connection via the local network using a SolaX Pocket dongle. The dongle and the Currentt Navigator must both be connected to the same network.

Only the Pocket WiFi V3.0-P, Pocket WiFi+LAN and Pocket WiFi+4GM support Modbus TCP. The older Pocket LAN and Pocket WiFi 2.0 do not offer Modbus TCP. In that case, use Modbus RTU.
