Inventory
First, inventory the customer's requirements and the devices to be connected. Verify that the devices to be linked are supported by the Currentt Navigator.
Then go through the installation checklist so you start the job with the right materials and knowledge.
Checklist
Make sure the checklist below has been completed and all materials are present before starting the installation.
1️⃣ Step 1
Reserve 9TE (modules) in the consumer unit
- If there is insufficient space, expand the consumer unit with an additional distribution board
2️⃣ Step 2
Determine whether a dual meter (PAP/SAP) is required
- Reserve 6TE for 2 circuit breakers (3TE wide for 3-phase)
- Reserve 6TE for 2 contactors (3TE wide for 3-phase)
- Order the required contactors. We recommend oversizing the contactors due to the minimal price difference and combining NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) contactors:
- Order the required circuit breakers (3P 6A is sufficient, for example GACIA PB8H-3C06 inst. 3p C6 10kA)
- Follow the instructions in the manual:
- Follow the instructions for dual meter (PAP+SAP)
- Follow the instructions for ATS
3️⃣ Step 3
If a single meter is used
- Follow the instructions for single meter (PAP)
4️⃣ Step 4
If "dumb" devices need to be switched from the consumer unit, reserve space for one contactor per switched device
- Order the required contactors (NO)
- Reserve space in the consumer unit for the installation of the contactors
- Follow the instructions for contactors
5️⃣ Step 5
Determine which components in the installation (inverters, batteries, meters) need to be connected via RS-485
- Follow the instructions for RS-485 Modbus
- Use twisted pair cable, where a twisted pair is used for the A and B connections. This reduces the risk of interference.
6️⃣ Step 6
Determine whether groups need to be measured using CT clamps
- Order the required number of CT clamps
- Follow the instructions for CT clamps
7️⃣ Step 7
Connect the P1 ports of the electricity meter(s) to the Currentt Navigator Pro
- If 2 meters are used (PAP/SAP), 2 RJ11 cables are needed
- Follow the instructions in the manual:
- Follow the instructions for single meter (PAP)
- Follow the instructions for dual meter (PAP+SAP)
8️⃣ Step 8
If a heat pump is connected via SG Ready:
- Reserve 2TE (modules) in the consumer unit
- Run a 4-core cable (network cable or other data cable) between the Currentt Navigator Pro and the heat pump
- Order 2 contactors for switching the SG Ready contacts:
9️⃣ Step 9
Determine how the Currentt Navigator will be connected to the internet
- Wired connection (this is preferred)
- Order network cable
- Install network cable
- WiFi
- Obtain the WiFi network name and password for the location
- Follow the instructions on the navigator to establish the connection
